Adventure Week!

JULY 1-4 · 1:00-3:30PM

Ages 4 - 11

Adventure Week is a fun, completely free program where kids can enjoy an exciting and safe space for connection, discovery, creativity, and fun. Each day, children rotate through a variety of hands-on activity stations designed to engage both their hearts and minds. This year’s theme is “True North: Trusting Jesus in a Wild World.” All of our activities and decorations will reflect a wilderness adventure theme, creating a fun and immersive environment that brings the experience to life! This is a great opportunity for kids to make new friends, learn about God, and have a blast. We can’t wait to see you at Adventure Week!

Bible Stories

We will have Bible stories that help kids learn more about who God is and what the Bible says, all presented in fun and age-appropriate ways. These times often include opportunities for kids to share their ideas, thoughts, and questions with others. We strive to creating a safe space where they can learn and feel free to be curious.

Skits

Our daily skits are brought to life by our leaders and volunteers through fun, creative scenes that help set the tone for Adventure Week. These lighthearted dramas are filled with humor and energy, creating a welcoming space where kids can laugh, be themselves, and connect with the week’s theme in a memorable way.

Parent Q&A

Does Adventure Week cost anything?
No! Adventure Week is completely free. God's love for us is freely given, and we want to reflect that by offering this week at no cost to families.
Why do you do Adventure Week?
We love God and love kids! Adventure Week is a way for us to serve God by creating a space where kids feel seen, loved, and valued. Our goal is to share God’s love in fun, engaging, and meaningful ways—for the kids, volunteers, and everyone involved.
What should my child bring to Adventure Week?
Children are welcome to bring a water bottle. A change of clothes is optional, but may be helpful—especially if your child enjoys jumping right into messy or activities that include water. We also recommend applying sunscreen before arriving, as we may spend some time outdoors (weather permitting).
Will there be snacks?
Yes! We provide simple, kid-friendly snacks each day—typically items like crackers and juice boxes. If your child has allergies or dietary needs, please let us know on the sign-up form or feel free to reach out for more details.
What are the safety protocols for Adventure Week?
Safety is a top priority. All volunteers working with children are trained and must complete Plan to Protect. We maintain proper adult-to-child ratios, and kids are always supervised by their Group Leaders and Station Leaders. Additionally, parents/guardians are required to create a pickup password on the registration form, which must be provided at sign-out to ensure children are safely released to the correct adult.
Can I stay with my child during the program?
Adventure Week is designed to help children build independence and connect with their group. However, if your child has specific needs or anxieties, please contact us—we’d be happy to discuss how we can best support them.
What if my child has special needs or requires additional support?
We want every child to feel welcome and included! If your child has specific needs, please reach out to us in advance so we can talk about whether Adventure Week is a good fit.

Are you interested

in volunteering?

We value serving God and the children who attend.
"We love because He first loved us." 1 John 4:19 (NIV)

Our vision for volunteers is to work together to create a space where both volunteers and kids can have fun together.

Adventure Week thrives because of an amazing team of volunteers—each playing a vital role in creating a space where kids can grow, have fun, and experience God’s love.

Ideas for How You Can Help

Whether you enjoy working directly with children or prefer to contribute behind the scenes, there’s a place for you!

Direct Engagement with Children

These roles involve actively connecting with kids, guiding them through the day, and helping create a warm, fun, and encouraging environment.
  • Group Leaders
As a group leader, you’ll guide a small group of children as they move through each activity station. You’ll build relationships, help them feel safe and included, and lead by example with joy and enthusiasm. It’s a great opportunity to be a positive influence while having fun alongside the kids.
  • Station Leaders
Station leaders are responsible for leading one of the daily hands-on activities: games, crafts, science, snacks, Bible stories, or music. You’ll help prepare and lead your station, offering kids an engaging and meaningful experience.
  • Floaters / Extra Helpers
Floaters provide flexible support wherever it's needed—whether assisting a station that needs extra hands or helping a group that needs more supervision. Your presence helps keep things running smoothly and contributes to a positive and welcoming environment.

Direct Engagement with Families

  • Registration, Check-Out & Greeting
Be one of the first smiling faces families see each day! You'll welcome families, assist with sign-in and sign-out, and help ensure everything runs smoothly at the start and end of each day.

Important Behind-the-Scenes Roles & Supports

These roles are more focused on logistics and setup—perfect for those who want to help create the experience without working directly with kids.
  • Daytime Support
Help prepare, distribute, and clean up snacks, or assist with setting up and tidying activity areas throughout the day. These roles are essential to keeping the program flowing smoothly and supporting other team members.
  • Pre and Post-Week Support (Setup, Take Down, & Prep)
Bring the Adventure Week theme to life! Help decorate and set up before the week begins, or assist with clean-up and takedown afterward. You can also help prep materials for activity stations—station leaders will guide this, and we’ll connect you with them if you’re available before the week begins.

Every contribution is valued & we are flexible...

If you have any other ideas for how you’d like to help, or unique abilities you'd like to share, we’d love to hear from you! Every contribution is valued, and we’d be thrilled to create a space for you to be part of the Adventure Week team!

Requirements

To volunteer with our children’s ministry, you must complete a vulnerable sector check and undergo Plan to Protect training before working with the children. We also seek individuals who truly care about children.
